It is pertinent to mention here that a house holder may have sex with with his or her partner during the initial phase of marriage to beget children, and later in his or her life adopt a life of celibacy to lead a pure spiritual life.

Bhagavad Gita says that a self-controlled man or woman has to lead a pure life of celibacy or Brahmacharya to enter into an exalted state of God-consciousness.

The Gita verse says that the person should be free from all passions and attachment.

It is extremely difficult to single out just ‘one book’ which is the most useful as each individual has a unique liking and preference.

A book which gives specific guidelines and systematic way to lead a purposeful and a happy life in this world as well as beyond this world.

My first choice of the book is ‘Bhagavad Gita’ which surpasses all other books on the merits of its contents and wisdom and this scripture has withstood the ‘test of time’ for the last 5,000 years.

Bhagavad Gita is a ‘masterpiece book,’ but only with the right selection of the book among hundreds of books on the subject.

The title of a book on ‘Bhagavad Gita’ does not normally catch one’s attention, as it…

Although all the verses of Bhagavad Gita have their own importance in different contexts, yet the verse 15 from chapter 13 is very thought provoking and explains the mystery of God.

Lord Sri Krishna says to Arjuna in Chapter 13 Verse 15 of the book ‘Word of God Bhagavad Gita’:

The Omnipresent Spirit of God is outside as well as within all beings; and constitutes the moving (animate) and non-moving (inanimate) in creation. It cannot be known directly due to its subtlety. — — The Supreme Spirit is far away and yet very near. (Book: Word of God Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 13 verse 15)

One of the most common topic of discussions and debates all over the world is, “Does God exist or not? — Can anyone show me God? — Have you seen God? — Is God a mystery? — How does a person benefit by having faith in God?

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 16 verse 24 states the following:

Lord Sri Krishna said:

The lotus flower is intimately connected with Lord Sri Krishna. — Sanskrit language has many words for “lotus,” one being pankaja, or “mud-born.” Panka means “mud,” and ja means “born.”

The roots of the Lotus flower grow in the muddy water, away from the source of sun-light. As the lotus plant grows and rises above the murky water, it catches the sun-light to bloom and reveal its beauty.

The Lotus flower is regarded in many cultures, especially in the eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth.

Bhagavad Gita:
